Sustainability is becoming increasingly important for a growing group of consumers. At Corbeo, we're also strongly committed to ecology. Our macramé cotton is a prime example of a circular product. The yarns we use are made from recycled and regenerated cotton fibers .
Recycled cotton is produced mechanically . First, the fabrics and materials are sorted by color. After sorting, the fabrics are passed through a machine that grinds them into yarn and then into raw fiber. The raw fiber is then spun into yarn for reuse in other products.
Due to the production method, regenerated cotton always contains a proportion of other fibers – usually polyester . This has no effect on the rope's workability and even adds strength . However, keep this in mind if you plan to dye the rope or artwork, as dyes don't adhere to the polyester particles. If you require macrame rope that is dyeable, we offer virgin cotton. This is guaranteed 100% cotton.
No dyes are used. This means the color may vary slightly between production batches . If you have a large piece to create, make sure you buy enough rope from the same batch to avoid color variations if you need to buy additional material later.
